ProPak 2018: Ishida to display next generation x-ray machine
Japan-based food packing machinery manufacturers, Ishida, will display its ‘next generation x-ray machine’ at ProPak 2018.

Speaking to WhatPackaging?, Saurav Sharma of Ishida India, said, “This year, we have launched our next generation state-of-the-art x-ray (IX-GN) and checkweigher (DACS-GN) machine. We will also be showcasing multi-head weigher, metal detector, traceability and batch controlling solutions.”
According to Saurav, the next generation x-ray machine incorporates Ishida’s patented genetic algorithm along with seven detection levels, which is very efficient in finding inorganic and high-density foreign contaminants.
Machines to be at the Ishida stall at ProPak 2018 includes:
Multihead weigher: Combination weigher to weigh ram product online.
Inspection: X-ray machine for online inspection of raw/packed product to check the contaminant.
Checkweigher: For online weight checking of packed product.
Metal detector: For online inspection of raw/ packed product to check metal contaminant inside.
Balance: Lab balance, moisture balance and industrial balance
Batching and traceability solutions
“Ishida's machinery helps customers reduce the overall production cost. Most of the machines manufactured by Ishida are to control the extra give away. Thus, making sure that no product goes to market with any defects, be it contamination or under/ overweight. It complies with the food safety parameters as it fulfils the statuary regulations of weights and measures and also complies with the hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) system,” added Sharma.
Ishida boasts of having installations in more than 70 countries.
