Akash Kumar, senior manager – marketing and communications, Monotech Systems said, “BigRep Studio is an industrial-grade 3D printer that has enabled continuous printing of large objects. Dual extruder equipped with two 0.6 mm hot ends of the printer is specially designed for speed and precision. And its direct-drive all-metal hot end allows for printing of a larger variety of high-performance filaments.”
BigRep Studio is capable to print a volume of 500 mm x 1000 mm x 500 mm.
According to Manoj Garg, product head – wide format graphics, Monotech Systems, the complex designs which cannot be created by any other conventional methods can be executed by using this machine. Garg said, "Only two or three machines of this type exist around the globe, and in comparison to those, we have a very economical price.”
Addressing the challenges pertaining to the market segment where BigRep is deployed, Garg said, “The only challenge we face is the price difference between conventional and digital. Currently, the machine is being used for prototyping and for low production, as this segment is still niche. But the signage and OOH industry is gradually moving towards digital, which is a positive sign.”
BigRep has a wide range of applications such as soft signage, illuminated channel letter brandings, architecture and ornaments, interior décor, custom sculptures of mannequins, and point of purchase displays, among others.
“BigRep Studio is an ideal printer for premium large-scale 3D print projects. It can deliver high-quality print results around the clock. The size of the printer is ideal for fitting any all working and production environment,” Kumar added.
BigRep Studio bagged the 2018 German Innovation Award, which was conferred on German-engineered large-format 3D printer in recognition of its ability to bring innovative designs to life.
Monotech has already installed three BigRep machines so far.
