According to VK Sharma of Krause Biagosch Krause has successfully installed its new generation PlateStream CTPs in India. Launched in 2017, with a vision to the future, it has many unique features, such as adapting off-the-shelf solutions, VR technology for diagnostics, up to 400 plates per hour production coupled with EasyFin and BlueFin plate processors to match the production speeds.
Sharma said the current year so far has been quite good, as the company installed 22 CTP lines. “Apart from Smart N easy CTPs, we installed PlateStream CTPs at Jagran Prakashan, Malayalam Manorama, The Times of India and Hindustan Times, with a few more projects in the pipeline. These lines are powered by software form Wobe Group. At The Times of India, PlateStream lines are connected with online high speed punch and benders from Nela,” he added.
He was also optimistic about the future, as old generation CTPs will be replaced with futuristic technologies such as PlateStream, “though the sentiments are a bit on southward side due to cost pressures from expensive newsprint.”
