Being an offset printer well used to print labels on paper media, we have gone through the hurdles in various processes like coating, foiling die-cutting, etc and experienced the limitations. However, with this Labelexpo, label printing appears easy. Thus, I am not surprised why offset printers are adding this segment to their existing portfolio.

We have not decided to enter the label segment yet, but will have to explore with next steps to follow in due course. This expo has given me an opportunity to interact with machine manufacturers and consumable suppliers.

I must say all stands were very informative and well represented. Overall, it was a great experience.

My three takeaways from the show are one, it helped build confidence and connect in labels domain. Two, integration of print enhancement and finishing capabilities with presses for finishing labels in one pass with least turnaround time. Three, growing presence of Indian manufacturers and digital printing in label space.
