Kalapi invests in Heidelberg CD102 to boost productivity
Kalapi Printing Press, the Vasai-based packaging printing firm has invested in a brand-new Heidelberg CD102 LX six-colour UV press to boost the production capacity.

Nazim S Nanjee, managing director, Kalapi Printing Press, said, “We wanted to invest in the latest technology for print production and Heidelberg was the best choice. The UV press will fulfill all our requirements. With this investment we are sure about 50% increase in the production.”
Nanjee added, “The demand for environmentally friendly products and green production is growing. We can have sustainable production and at the same time we can also reduce our energy and consumption costs. The Heidelberg CD 102LX comes with the latest technology, which means we can offer UV jobs which is the need of the hour. The CD 102 is the all-rounder for a wide variety of applications.”
Established in 1976, Kalapi Printing Press is housed in a 27,000 sq/ft area and employs 65 staff.
Besides, the new Heidelberg CD102 sheetfed press, the packaging printing firm is equipped with 20 other machines, which include die-cutting, punching, lamination, folder-gluer among others.
