Manroland demonstrates Roland 700
Exhibiting for the fifth time at China Print, Manroland highlighted the Roland 700 HiPrint six-colour plus coater with live demonstrations. The company announced that the machine showcased at the show was sold to Qingdao Jiabao Printing Packaging Company.

Speaking to PrintWeek India, Sascha Ehrenberg, sales manager, Manroland Sheetfed, said, “The Roland 700 combination machine which enables the user to cater to conventional as well as UV jobs. It is suitable for converters who have a combination of conventional and UV jobs.”
At the show, live demonstrations of Roland 700 attracted a huge crowd of visitors. “At China Print, we have focused on consultation for our customers and we try to understand their requirements to deliver what they need," he added.
The machine runs at a speed of 17,000sph and can process substrates up to one mm thick. It is available with a host of inline finishing equipment for industrial-scale multicolor printing especially beneficial for packaging printers.
According to Ehrenberg, since February 2012, when Manroland has come out of insolvency, it has installed 101 sheetfed machines which sums up to approximately 500 units in 11 months. “We are stabilising and the market is also looking to have stabilised,” said Ehrenberg.
Ehrenberg observes the Indian market to have huge potential. Speaking about the trends in Indian market Ehrenberg said, “We observe that a high percentage of Indian print firms want to shift from commercial printing to packaging. Also, the demand of high value packaging for premium products has been increasing in India.”
