UK-based Digi Europe showcases linerless labelling

Digi, a specialist in weigh-price labelling, showcased its LI-700eD linerless labelling system, at Interpack 2014.

“Linerless labelling minimises label usage, bring down operating costs. And since no backing paper is used, there’s less waste, no cost of recycling waste paper, making it an eco-friendly product,” said Gary Prior, head of engineering and senior manager at Digi.

Lawrence Morrison, the general manager at Digi, added, “The machine allows the user to design their own labels, amend at any time to suit changes to the shopping pattern.”

Besides, the LI-700eD, Digi also had on its stall, the automatic high-speed weigh price linerless labeller, HI-700, at Interpack 2014. The labeller is available in three options – HI-700 Single, HI-700 Multi-labeller and Hi-700 Top and Bottom.

The labeller is a PC-based system, which offers bi-directional communication and a quick release conveyor system that offers durability, stability and east of cleaning and replacement, claims the company.

“The Digi HI-700 is a high-speed dynamic weigh price labeller utilising Windows XP embedded software and is capable of operating up to 100ppm.”

Bengaluru-based Essies represents the company in India and has multiple installations of the Digi weigh price labelling machines.
