Jaichandra, managing director at Veepee Graphic Solutions, said, “CDI Spark 4260 addresses the highest quality flexo applications, primarily in the flexible packaging, folding carton markets and corrugation. The flexo plate requirement for corrugation industry will be bigger than the label industry. The volumes are huge - and they are growing.”
Jaichandra added, “In 2009, we felt that the market is maturing and we had to look at next level. Esko also came up with a 4000dpi imaging system and a unique concept of inline UV II with flat top and round top dot. We knew that we could use this concept to produce high quality flexo plates. Also the plate handling is reduced. This means the chance of plate getting damaged is lesser. This will definitely increase our plate production as the exposure time will go down by 15 minutes per plate. With the new system we are looking to double the capacity.”
Veepee Graphic Solutions is also installing a software from Esko.
Jaichandra said, “We are in the process of installing software from Esko which will enable us to produce the flat and round top dots on the plate. This is the first system along with this software in India which will also be beta testing site for Esko.”
