The youngest CEO on various panels. Gamyanth speaks of print as zealously as he does about football. He entered the print industry to escape the mundanity. At 22, he aspires to be listed in the Forbes Under 30 listing. Well, you do have another eight years to give it an old fashioned try!

When did you decide to join the business?
I soon realised this is one of the few industries where art meets technology and two days are never the same, and you can never feel monotonous in this industry.

What is your greatest print / business achievement to date?
Being invited to be the panelist at the world wide Photo Summit 2014.

The best break-through in print technology in the past hundred years
It is definitely the invent of the digital technology, which plays a vital role in fighting back against digitisation. Another technology I am very excited about is 3D printing!

What do you prefer: a mentor in the industry or brain storming with like-aged?
When I joined Glo, I did not have the convenience of working with like-aged members, We now have a team of young recruits who actively take part in decision making to avoid a tunnel vision.

The most frequently used mantra in your organisation?
“Limitations are self imposed”, “If you can’t stop thinking of it then don’t stop working on it” and “You snooze, you loose”(We couldn’t not mention this!).

If you won Rs 25 crores what would you invest in? Why?
I would split it between investing in infrastructure, R&D, and initiating a campaign to educate the importance of print among the print consumers.

One person who impressed you with wisdom. Why?
Appadurai (Head of HP indigo, India) “He could sell a comb to a bald man”! Jokes apart, his improvisation skills and his ability to handle pressure are out of the world.

The IT system in your firm
Currently our basic system is very labour intense. We are building a more automated solution with an in-house IT team.

Biggest luxury on your shopfloor
The experience of the individuals at each of our six production centres amazes me every time.

Best print gift given
A wildlife photographer always dreamed of publishing his life’s work but couldn’t afford the risk of printing huge quantities. We helped build a POD model and sponsored a few books for the launch event.
