Sandeep is one of the young guns in the label industry. He was a part of his father’s unit, until he set up Total Print in Navi Mumbai. He also is a key mover of the LMAI Young Manager Forum.

When did you decide to join the business?
Immediately after my B Tech in business and finance.

Where do you learn the tricks of the trade? In an executive education programme or on the job?
From my father, who was a very successful entrepreneur.

What technology has made the biggest difference to your business?
Flexo processes have got the volumes growing.

What do you prefer: a mentor in the industry or brain storming with like-aged?
Brain storming.

The most frequently used mantra in your organisation? Your motto in life?
Never lie and face the consequences.

If you won Rs 25 crore what would you invest in? Why?
After investing part of the money in the business, I would try and fulfill my dream of starting a school for the poor and teach them.

For a working lunch if you met the PM of India, what would you talk to him about?
To streamline all our taxations so that we can get rid of all our so called CAs.

When you see a great piece of print created by your competitor, what is your reaction?
I believe in learning. So appreciate his work and try to implement the concept for my clients.
