What is your idea of a perfect print firm in India?
One that has good working conditions.
What is the trait you deplore the most in our industry?
When something goes wrong, or an error is made, the amount of waste generated is tremendous. This is heartbreaking if you look at both human effort and the repercussions on the environment.
What is the trickiest colour you have had to print?
Colours that are a mixture of all four standard colours. It’s tricky when customers ask for precise shades of purple or sky green.
What is the quality you seek when you hire?
I hire labour; hence dedication
When and which printing job or project makes you the happiest?
Whenever I work for companies I believe in, the happiness is unparalleled.
Describe your day in two sentences.
I reach the office by 12:30 pm. I am there till 8 pm. Lunchtime is at 2 pm. Before that is the production setting and after that I meet with customers.
What is your most ‘wow’ moment?
Seeing the output of work I do for companies I believe in.
What print technology do you prefer and why?
Ever since I bought my second Komori, everything has changed. My production seems to have tripled or quadrupled. It is a brilliant machine.
What is your favourite print joke?
Hahaha. I will think of one and call you back.
One job you wish you had printed.
There is a beautiful printing press in Meerut. It is colossal and holds up like a fort with specific units for each chore. I wish I could create something like that.
