Anupama Printing Solutions: Producing plates that print more

Noida-based Anupama Printing Solutions entered into the flexo pre-press business with a KODAK FLEXCEL NX System in 2015. In 2018, it invested in another FLEXCEL NX. This time a bigger size. Tarun Katyal of Anupama says the main advantage with Kodak is its presence and experience in offset industry, as well as the strength of pre-press imaging technology.

Anupama has two KODAK FLEXCEL NX Systems – a mid-narrow and a larger 42x60-inches. “We produce around 350sqm flexo printing plates per day. We have around 70 customers and all of them are in the narrow web flexo space,” Katyal says.  

25% more run length

He says dot accuracy of Kodak NX is 100%. “Whatever you have in your artwork you will get the same in the plate,” he says. “The plate offers almost 25% more run length than other competitive offerings. The first print through Kodak plates is saleable. Thus, wastage is less. Higher ink densities mean better print quality. The exposing time is an hour lesser than its competitors. The KODAK FLEXCEL NX Plates are a premium offering, but the benefits definitely surpass this,” Katyal says as its density and depth are high, customers always appreciate the quality and performance of KODAK FLEXCEL NX Technology. 

More with two

Today, Anupama can produce flexo plates from 24x30-inches to 42x60-inches with the two KODAK FLEXCEL NX Systems. “Earlier, our customers used to have two plate suppliers but since we installed the second machine, our customers are with us 100%,” signs off Katyal.
