How have the previous two years, since the last Labelexpo Europe 2015, been for RotoMetrics?
RotoMetrics has experienced tremendous growth in both solid and flexible dies. We also expanded our product offering with the merger of RotoMetrics and Electro Optic, which is a technology leader in thin film flexible dies and a pioneer in coatings for abrasive material conversion. The combined breadth of offerings from RotoMetrics and the advanced German technology of Electro Optic bring together the two best brands in die cutting and supporting solutions to offer customers more than ever.
What are the new products at the Labelexpo Europe 2017?We are highlighting RotoMetrics new RotoRepel No Stick treatment for solid and flexible cutting dies. RotoRepel allows dies to run four times or longer and reduces adhesive build-up better than current non-stick offerings. On the Electro Optic stand we have three advanced technology flexible dies – Electro Optic DuraLine flexible die, which is long lasting die on the most abrasive materials;
Electro Optic Gold Line Special for sharpness and blade consistency on the thinnest films; and Electro Optic Dura Line Special that features a combination of longevity and sharpness for difficult materials like Tyvek, Primax, Polyester, Polyexact etc.
How do these new products from Electro Optic help label converters?
Electro Optic’s die-cutting technology allows converters to pursue opportunities that were previously unattainable due to restraints of price, speed, demanding materials or other challenges across the press and beyond. We offer complete die-cutting and converting solutions to help our customers gain more business. RotoMetrics has the broadest offering of die-cutting on the market, in places where customers do business. We feature solid and flexible rotary dies, anvils, magnetic cylinders, adjustable anvils, print cylinders, print sleeves etc.
When it comes to dies and tooling, handholding is important…
Very true. For this, we have designed care, maintenance and handling demonstrations at the show.
What else can a visitor expect at RotoMetrics and Electro Optics’ stall?
We have a Cocktail Reception in booth Mon-Weds from 4:30-6:00 with prizes for attendees that visited the RotoMetrics and Electro Optic booths.
How does label printing sector look like in 2017 and your forecast for the next two years?
We are confident in the growth of the category and look forward to developing solutions that help converters do more with regard to thinner film liners, abrasive and challenging materials, and help them run faster and longer than previously possible.
