Please describe your company.
Since its inception two decades ago as a modest manufacturer of converting machines, Jupiter Laminators has acquired an impeccable reputation as a manufacturer of flexible packaging materials for products as diverse as food, beverage, healthcare, pet care, security and anti-counterfeiting, industrial, and more. We are also conscious of our obligation towards society and sustainability as an organisation. Our focus has always been to offer the best of products and services using cutting-edge technologies, commitment to the customer’s interest and without losing our obligation towards society and sustainability.

When did you start using the Bobst rotogravure press?
We opted for our first Bobst machine – Bobst 5002 – in 2017. After getting the expected results, we are now awaiting two new Bobst machines – the 5003 and the Vision CI flexo press – for our new 65-acre integrated plant in Murthal, 10 kms from our existing Sonipat plant.

What are the properties of the press you like?
The machine was purchased for the registration system, shaftless mechanism of the cylinder, and fast job setting.

Why did you decide to use the machine?
We received consistent output with high print quality and low wastage since its installation. Consistency is key, as it enables us to offer uniform quality to our clients.

Did you look at other similar products?
Yes, we did our research and compared various machines. The features that we were specifically looking for – cost-effectiveness and sustainable production – were available with Bobst. Our choice was quite justified.

What are the features that tilted the favour in this?
There were many features but what stood out for us was the registration system, the shaftless mechanism of the cylinder and fast job setting. We also consistently got high print quality on a wide range of materials, including eco-friendly substrates and unique twin flow dryer for higher efficiency drying.

How much have these features helped you in your production?
Some of the features like effective web handling, accurate tension control from unwinder to rewinder, fast job changeovers, reduction in wastage and consistency of the job’s print quality really helped our production.

For what applications is the press used?
The press is used for printing on film, paper and laminates for flexible packaging.

Is there anything that you do not like or can be improved?
Nothing specific, as we are happy with the machine. We run most of our jobs on it. However, Bobst could maybe look at shortening the lead time and bettering the price of its consumable parts so we can further save on costs.

If there’s a critical printing job that has come your way, would you rely on this to see it through?
Absolutely yes. Most of our new jobs, including key jobs, are run on this machine due to its consistent output.

How easy is it to use?
The machine is operator-friendly and our operators are happy.

Would you say that it offers value for money?
Definitely. It has offered value for money, as we are able to deliver consistent quality products on time to our clients.

Were there any difficulties experienced?
No, nothing. Everything went well.

Who do you think the Bobst press is right for?
It is suitable for converters who are looking for maximum uptime, ease of operation, high quality print, and advanced sustainability solutions.

Any feedback on the service you received?
The service response has been timely and we have not faced any issues with the machine so far. We look forward to many more years of fruitful association with Bobst.
