Please describe your company.
Over thirty years in existence, Le Griffe Offset is an offset printing and packaging unit established by Ashok Dedania, Atul Dedania and Alpesh Dedania.

When did you start using the Komori LS 529 printing press?
We installed the Komori LS 529 + C in 2014.

What are the properties of the machine you like?
Fully automatic plate, PDCS colour control system.

Why did you decide to use the Komori LS 529?
Our foremost priority was coater, special colour, H-UV/D/O-UV to serve our clients. With this machine, we got the benefits of these and this resulted in a quantum leap in our sales revenue. By using these technologies, we could add more new clients and could sustain their requirements. This has added value to our current client base.

Did you look at other similar products?
We had seen other products. But since we have been using Komori since 2007, we chose to trust Komori as a brand because of its low maintenance cost and ease of operation. We wanted to invest in reliable technology.

What are the features that tilted the favour in this?
The UV-H-UV conventional facility, min-dot gain and stable colour densities.

How much have these features helped you in your production?
A lot. With the machine, we can produce more jobs in less time. Print consistency and low dot gain in packaging are important to retain customers. The Komori’s colour management feature helps deliver consistent print, and has proved to be sustainable for us to retain our customers. These key features have kept our commitment to the customers.

For what applications is the Komori LS 529 used?
We use the machine for four colour + special colour + coating and UV printing jobs. We do use some of our own innovations to stand out in the crowd, using various methods of print. You should be able to use all the applications of the press to get its full advantage. We use the machine to its full capacity.

Is there anything that you do not like or can be improved about this?
From the time of installation till now, we have not felt the need to improve anything on the hardware.

If there’s a critical printing job that has come your way, would you rely on this to see it through?
In the printing industry, every job is important. We rely on our machines and are ready to give our best. In order to do so, we insist on preventive maintenance daily, weekly and monthly with the help of the Komori guidance.

What’s the quality like?
The quality is excellent. We have set our own standards which are difficult for most of our competition to catch up to. It is important to innovate.

How easy is it to use and handle?
Since its installation, we are satisfied with our machine. No complaints from the product.

Would you say that it offers value for money?
The Komori LS 529 + C HUV is suitable for commercial jobs with four-five colours and packaging jobs with four-five colours + coater and D/O-UV. Yes, it offers true value for money.

Who do you think the Komori LS 529 printing press is right for?
