What is the greatest strength of your printing firm?
I believe the greatest strength of our firm is our production capacity. We are currently running five digital machines: two Pro 1100 BW, one AccurioPress 6120 BW, one C1085 Color, and one C6000 Color. All the machines are manufactured by Konica Minolta. They give amazing production and print quality.
Which living print person do you most admire? Why?
Currently, I am a fan of a YouTuber, Dan. He is from the US and runs a channel by the name Just A Printer. He owns a shop in Pennsylvania and runs similar machines like us and manages the whole centre single-handedly. I am inspired by him.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue in printing?
Personally, paper is highly overrated. A reader should concentrate on the content instead of the type of paper.
Which print technology, according to you, is the future? Why?
Digital printing for sure. The trend is gradually shifting from quantity to variety with lesser quantity. Hence, digital is the way to go. It has a lot of potential and possibilities to be explored.
If you could change one thing about your printing plant, what would it be?
I need more commercial space to meet the increasing job demand, but that’s not easy.
If you were to die and come back as a printing press, what would it be?
A KBA machine running at full speed.
A technology process you think is passé for a 21st century press?
Screen printing. The process was very useful once upon a time, but is dying now. It has been taken over by digital printing.
What do you most value in your customers?
Our customer’s loyalty and time. I feel their loyalty is critical to the long-term success of our business.
How do you motivate your team?
Most of the time I am pushing my team to get the work done quickly, because customers are expecting shorter turnaround time. It is important to make your team members feel valued as well as support new ideas.
