The automatic lamination machine Mark AL1 takes the process of lamination to next level thanks to added automation and combination of aqueous, thermal and dual lamination operations in a single kit. The AL1, which has been jointly developed by Ahmedabad-based Mark Engineering and Bengaluru-based Hy-Tec Print Mac, runs live at their stall in hall 3 stall B-04/07.
When was the machine launched?
The machine was launched at Pamex 2011
Who is it targeted at?
The AL1 is targeted at companies with high volume lamination requirements per day and desire to incorporate automation and optimise their plants. It is suited for commercial as well as packaging printers.
What are the available configurations and sizes?
The machine has two configurations: Mark AL1 10271 with a maximum sheet size of 1020x710mm and Mark AL1 9161 with that of 910x610mm.
What is the USP of the press?
The major USP of the press is automation; the manual process of feeding the individual sheets to laminator is completely eliminated using stream feeder. It enhances the production capacity four times than the manual feeding. Coupled with high speed and automatic sheet size set-up, the machine bolsters the production capacity of the user. In addition, the super finished chrome plated roller with oil spray heating system for thermal lamination ensures uniform lamination results.
What is the speed?
For aqueous lamination the AL1 throughputs at 65m/min while the throughput rate for thermal lamination is 25m/mins.
How about productivity?
With high speed production, the machine can throughput 40,000 sheets in one shift with negligible defects thanks to precisely controlled underlap using servo motors.
How flexible is the machine?
The machine can handle all types of lamination films such as BOPP, PVC, polyester, silver foil etc. Also, it has a provision for aqueous, thermal as well as dual lamination which makes the user cater to a wide range of applications.
How easy is it to use?
The ergonomically designed machine has digital human machine interface which makes it easy for the operator to set parameters and control the functions precisely. It is very easy to use. Even a regular lamination operator can be trained in a week's time. The feeder is similar to sheet feeder of offset press for which large operator base is available all across the country.
What training/service support is on offer?
We provide three days live on-site training for operators post-installation. It includes understanding of machine operations and preventative maintenance. Mark Engineering is based in Ahmedabad; Hy Tek Print Mac in Bangalore and our after sales service staff is present in Delhi. This enables us to provide efficient service to our customers in North, South and West India.
We have completed one installation of this machine at Mahajan Packers
