Metal printing industry, is it growing? Who are the major players in this segment?

There are major players like Hindustan Tin Works, Kaira Can, Shetron, Can Pac and Zenith Tins.  

Sanjay Bhatia, the managing director of Hindustan Tin Works spoke at the Indian Institute of Packaging Conference on 17 January 2014 in Delhi. He said, the Indian metal packaging has seen a “big comeback”. In 2006, Hindustan Tin Works had joined hands with Rexam Beverage Can (India Holdings). During 2012-13, the JV had built a new high speed aluminum beverage can manufacturing line with capacity of 850 million cans p.a. and involving capital outlay of approx. Rs 200 crores at its current site in Taloja. This new line had started commercial production September 2012.

During Indpack, most of the firms showcased a range of tin cans with multiple usage and functionality; at their stalls.

Bhatia spoke to PrintWeek India and said, “Eat what you can; but can what you can’t.”
