Khetshi Patel of Balaji Creation started his business with a humble beginning with a DTP and photocopy centre at the north-central suburb of Mumbai. He then ventured into commercial printing which continued till 2006 after which he switched to garment printing with manual tables (40mtr x 2 tables). The Group has now two production facilities, one in Goregaon in the western suburb with 5150 sq/ft carpet area and another in Bhiwandi with 5000 sq/ft area which houses two industrial-grade sublimation printing machines.

Balaji Creation’s Grafica Nano-prinTag plus machine is being used to print up to six-colour jobs of 9” x 13” print area, mostly kids wear. It is also being used to print logos, tagless label for garment printing. Also, the Grafica Nano-Print plus, a semi-automatic screen printing machine is used to print heat transfer stickers which are supplied to their existing customers to whom they undertake DTG (direct to garment) printing on job work basis.

Patel speaking on the requirement of automation in screen printing, said, “Automation helped in taking bulk quantity, multicolour jobs and CMYK along with faster job turnaround of jobs and reducing the overhead cost.”

The company is a registered vendor for some of the leading garment manufacturers having customers in Mumbai and Ahmadabad.  The company also caters to corporates requiring t-shirts for branding, flags, campaigns, etc.

With a vision to print merchandises for FIFA 2018, Patel said, “We have submitted samples and proposal to the authorities and waiting for their response and had also printed about 1.10 lakh flags for IPL cricket’s Kolkata team last year.”
