Hindusthan National Glass & Industries
According to Parksons Graphics, this project remains close to their hearts as one of their achievements.
Pre-press A heavily design oriented product, the report required quite an amount of R&D and out of the box thinking. The Kodak plates were imaged on a Creo 8-up Trendsetter using Prinergy workflow.
Press 500 copies of the report were printed on five-colour Heidelberg CD74 and CD 102.The cover was made of 320gsm ITC Cyber XL PAC while 260gsm Renoir Extra White card, 130gsm Renoir Extra White card and 100gsm ITC Alfa Zap comprised inner pages.
Post-press The jacket and cover use a mix of post-press techniques such as laser cutting, holographic foil stamping, embossing, die-cutting etc. The jacket resembling the metamorphosis of a cocoon into a butterfly was implemented, is die-cut to show a full grown butterfly. The wings of the butterfly cross each other to form a lock securing the report inside. This is covered with a wrap around cover. The report is section sewn.
Jammu & Kashmir Bank
The unique report used J&K Bank’s corporate brand colour threads for section sewing.
Pre-press The artwork of report which was designed by AICL marked with usage of heavy ink coverage and bright colours. The Kodak plates used for the job were imaged on a Creo 8-up Trendsetter using Prinergy workflow.
Press 2,000 copies of the report were printed on five-colour Heidelberg CD74 and CD 102.The cover was made of 320gsm ITC Cyber XL PAC while 260gsm Renoir Extra White card, 130gsm Renoir Extra White card and 100gsm ITC Alfa Zap comprised inner pages.
Post-press The report was section sewn with threads of three different colours and cover was overdrawn. The blind embossing on the outer front cover, foil stamping, abrasive UV added to the beauty of the report. The booklet insert was centre stitched which was secured in a pouch on inner front.
Responsive Industries
“This is the first time an annual report was bound in a hard case. The client, Moreso, opted for an unconventional size breaking the tradition of having an annual report in A4,” says Parksons Graphics.
Pre-press Designed by AICL, the report was outputted on Kodak plates using a Creo 8-up Trendsetter and Prinergy workflow.
Press 1,000 copies of the report were printed on five-colour Heidelberg CD74 and CD 102.The paper used for the report included 120gsm Artilibries Binaco paper for PLC; 300gsm imported Kraft board for outer jacket; 140gsm Sun CS008 paper; 130gsm Renoir Extra White paper and 115gsm Gardapat 13 Kiara paper.
Post-press The post-press activities comprise of debossing on cover, hard case binding using 2mm Kappa board, section sewing using green thread, spot UV on outer case, punching and head and tail band. The client wanted a rustic look on the jacketand hence a simplistic version of the jacket was formed using imported kraft card which was applied with screen printing the company name in high gloss ink. “The responsive annual report is an example of the importance of annual reports for corporates as a branding tool and hence used a hard case binding,” said Parksons.
