What is noticed here is that Indian manufacturers have up their ante, with a lot of new players coming into the picture. This is a great sign for the industry.
Exhibitors are also shedding light on quality and features that can be achieved via digital printing. Label printers should keep a good watch on the digital technology and its latest advancements.
I feel the best stand at the show was of HP, because of the variety of labels and shrink-sleeves it covered. The Esko and DuPont stall’s theme ‘Labels Connected’, where the demonstrations were given about the processing, was quite impressive. Monotec has done a great job as well, looking at their new developments and technology.
I feel there is a requirement of seminars or gatherings before the trade show in order to keep the entities more informed. A major takeaway is that there were close to eight pre-press companies participating at the show, another great sign for the industry.
