The corrugated box industry is in distress as kraft paper has seen a steep increase in prices and supply disruptions in the last couple of months. This has resulted in huge losses for the industry and many units are on the verge of shutting down, said an industry official.

Flint Group show new thermal plate processing system

Flint Group’s Flexographic Products has introduced a new thermal “like you have never seen before” plate processing system for flexographic printing – Nyloflex Xpress. The plate presently available in North America was introduced for the Europe, Middle East and African markets.

Bengaluru’s Itek Packz opts for Edale FL5 single-pass carton line

Itek Packz has invested in Edale FL5 carton, an automatic single-pass flexographic press to print folding cartons. As this issue goes to press, the machine is under installation at Itek’s 20,000 sq/ft facility in Bengaluru. It is expected to be pressed into commercial production in the first week of April 2017.
