What is your idea of a perfect print firm in India?
A firm with all in-house manufacturing facilities which give the company the control to decide - right from fixing price to running the job on a particular printing press down to fulfilment.
What is the trait you most deplore in our industry?
Swift technology changes make its adoption difficult, some times out of reach.
The current fact file of your press?
We are a budding packaging player in Indore with capabilities for providing flexible packaging lamination materials of up to eight-colour with a maximum width of 1,000mm. In paperboard, we specialise in MetPET mono cartons as well as mono cartons with three-side winds.
What is the trickiest colour that you have had to print?
Glow in the dark pattern (Gans Inks) as the strokes needed to be applied three times or more
What is the quality you seek when you hire?
A print mindset akin to that of a brand buyer.
When and which print job or project made you the happiest?
Two jobs got me delighted. One was a job where we deployed lenticular effect without using the lens, and second, a canister with a round window, micro-embossed.
What is your best ‘wow’ moment?
Interns, wishing our company a bright future, when it was their last day at work.
What do you print process do you prefer and Why?
We are associated with both, offset as well as gravure. So, it difficult to pick one. Gravure is volumes, and with offset, we can customise. My preference is offset because it gives us the liberty to play with shapes.
