In-store Asia: Must sees at the show

OOH and Retail is growing a fair clip. Hall 6 of the Bombay Exhibition Centre has been converted into an experience zone, what with solution providers across the printing and branding spectrum showcasing their work to lure the super brands.

Brandmark Solutions, Spectrum Scan, Roland, Jayna Packaging, Esko and Red were among the 85+ exhibitors at the show.

The ninth edition of the largest retail merchandising show on Mumbai grounds from 5-7 February. The three-day show and the Visual Merchandising & Retail Design (VM&RD) awards have been organised by Bengaluru-based VJ Media

The show, with its dedicated space for the innovative material applications, mirrored the newest range of media used in the POP and POS space. Interestingly, a section featuring new applications of the older substrate was also on display

Satish Nayak, managing director, Bodhi Professional Solutions presented to the brand owners the nitty-gritty of colour reproduction, impact of light, perception, emotion that the observer attaches to the visuals, and the impact of size, angle and background in the interpretation of an image

Spectrum Scan, as always was a crowd puller with it's range of applications, especially the newly conceptualised sequential LED, static LED and LED powered by solar energy. According to Amit Shah, Spectrum is the first Indian firm to provide this solution

Manesar-based Classic Display System boasts of being a one-stop solution for the brands; from design to print. The company has an in-house print set-up comprising of Grafica's screen print machine, and digtal kit from HP, Mutoh, Epson and Challenger

Meghdoot, who forayed into the POP segment with India's first Scitex 10000 in December, last year (check our website), displayed solutions printed on the machine

The Store Visualiser from Esko is an interactive tool that lets the retail designer arrange the store elements in a 3D space. The software is currently in use at Meghdoot's facility
