Kerala newspaper behemoth Mathrubhumi has invested in two new Muller Martini stitching lines, the new generation of Muller Martini Primera MC, which was launched at Drupa. That means, post-Drupa, Matrubhumi's Kozhikode plant will be the first to benefit from the manufacturer’s ‘Finishing 4.0’ automation and connectivity technology, boosting the factory’s magazine production in terms of being flexible and scalable

Two Wen Chuan KYE-108DRK automatic film lamination machines are set to ramp up the post-press facility of Mumbai-based Parksons Packaging upcoming plant in South India's Sri City. Hyderabad-based Techno Graphics Services (TGS), which represents Wen Chyuan in India, facilitated the deal. SRK Creative’s offset business, Shine Image, brought in a brand new Komori Lithrone A37, a four-colour plus coater. This is two years after it installed its first refurbished Komori 528 five-colour plus coater
Mumbai-based Parksons Packaging has signed a deal with Komori for purchase of the company’s flagship press - GX 40 - seven-colour plus coater. The features-packed, 18,000sph press, which will be installed at Parkson's Rudrapur plant, is expected to raise the company's bar on productivity and high precision quality control inspection system inline
Polykam Offset has installed a Komori Enthrone 29 four-colour printing press. (l) Jasvir Singh, proprietor, Polykam Offset, said, “As customers today do not want to wait for delivery of their jobs, the Enthrone has proved to be an ideal machine for us. It is capable enough to meet our fast delivery demands"
Impressed with the Enthrone 29’s performance at PrintPack India held at Greater Noida last year, Manjit Singh, the owner of Aakar made up his mind to invest in the machine. He also checked the machine at work in other sites. Running at its maximum speed of 13,000 impressions per hour, "our production has now increased two-fold", said Singh
Delhi-based Pearl Printers has recently installed an eight-up Kodak Trendsetter platesetter. The kit, which can produce plates up to 28x40-inch, now replaces the company’s existing Screen CTP. (r) According to Ashwani Thapar, proprietor at Pearl, his company produces more than 250 plates in a 24-hour production shift and needed a heavy-duty processor. Thapar found a solution in the Kodak Trendsetter
Mumbai-based, Hi-Tech Systems have installed a DG binder extra hotmelt glue automation album binding machine at Sood Studios in Ludhiana. Parag Shah, the head at Hi-Tech, said, “The DG binder extra from Kisun, South Korea allows binding offset as well as photo paper. The machine has the capacity to bind up to 250 albums per day in a single shift”

Son N Naykpura has invested in Eco Plus, a die making machine from Serviform, Italy. The Eco Plus will run along side the existing Lasercomb machine
