Rioch India launched a new wide-format printer Ricoh Pro L4160. According to Prasanna Rajagopalan of Ricoh India, the kit is equipped with latex technology and can print the colours orange, green and white along with CMYK

Media Expo launches new print formats
Wide-format printing is going through changes. There are clear growth projections. Some say the signage market is growing at double digit. At the same time, technology is evolving. Flex is becoming obsolete and it is being replaced by polyester banners. The next big thing is printing on natural fabric using water-based inks. The market is also moving away from solvent-based inks to eco-solvent and UV. There are technologies to achieve these and there are machines of different ranges.
