Picture Gallery: Print finds inspiration at Media Expo
The Media Expo show from 16-18 January in Mumbai had 95 exhibitors who showcased the clout of wide-format digital, screen and textile print. In addition to products launches, top firms from Apsom to Epson and Global 5 to Fuji rediscovered their mojo. A Tanvi Parekh special looks at samples of print's interior decoration capability plus a range of textile work with dye-sublimation.

The 36th edition of Media Expo from 16-18 January was the first in Mumbai since Messe Frankfurt acquired Media Expo from New Delhi-based Media Exposition & Events (MEX)

Made in India: Maxx showcased a wide range of media at the show. The wall print media - Wall Graffiti - according to the company is a popular among brands for campaigns in the outskirts. The media is self adhesive and takes the shape of the surface
KMI Business Technologies had brought to the show Konica Minolta's Bizhub Press C1060
The LX 1325 engraver from Mehta Cad Cam's stable facilitates a size of 4x8ft
Monotech Systems marked its presence with a nine sq/ft stall and digital solution
Epson's SureColor produces signage at print speeds up to 980 sq/ft per hour utilising the dual microPiezo TFP print heads. The production engine boasts of an optional new white ink technology

Although the show was small; the aisles were busy and the exhibitors were excited
