In his keynote address, Marico's chairman and managing director, Harsh Mariwala took the 900 audiences of Print Summit down the Parachute and Saffola memory lane
Mariwala: “In a family business, there is a thin line between management and ownership of the business. And for a growing organisation, the question of why and when to integrate professionals in the organisation is always looming over”

Gulve: "The rapidly changing consumer behaviour coupled with disruptive technologies – the internet of things, big data, nanotechnologies, advanced electronics and cloud – will influence the way products are manufactured for the printing industry"
Prof VK Murti of SP Jain Institute of Management Studies advised the audience to look at their business as a garden and not as one flower. If you look at it as a garden, then you will have something reap in every season
According to Murti, every family business needs to be reviewed from four different lenses: revenue formula – the product portfolio; profit formula – assets, cost structures, margins; resources; and the processes involved
Karin Mayer, vice president, business line management for ink and dry toner solutions, Oce Printing Systems made a pitch for inkjet adoption within the offset fold, citing the examples of its two inkjet presses, the Varioprint i300 and Imagestream
Citing digital prints volume growth between 2010 and 2015, Mayer said, “The Indian print market has shown a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.5%. And in comparison, the CAGR between 2015-2020 is expected to grow to 3.8%”
Puneet Datta, director – professional printing products group, Cannon India stressed on the investment in future technologies
Puneet Datta said, “Research has found that offset revenue will decline by 2020, but China and India defy this trend. But India is slowly and steadily conforming with this trend"
In the last decade, Komori has notched 211 installations across India. Sangam Khanna of Insight highlighted the Komori GL40 and GLX 40 machine for the packaging industry
Komori along with Landa will reveal its much awaited Landa S10 B1 press at Drupa 2016
Khanna said, "All the Komori machines are equipped with KHSAI technology, which is adapted from the high standard technology used in currency printing."

Desai: “The glorious past is simply just the glorious past. Do not revel in it. Do not assign it any more importance than that.”
Desai: “Today everyone is an entrepreneur and raising fund has become a cake walk. Moreover, there are government initiatives that back these entrepreneurs.”
The two Mumbai print associations celebrated the 'power of one' as the two presidents signed a memorandum of understanding thereby formalising a long-term alliance
During the Print Summit, the two associations launched the first issue of their joint magazine, Mumbai Impressions. The duo will jointly commence several projects for the fraternity starting with the joint Drupa Tour
Dhote said, "The MMS and BMPA team have put in several hours of brain-storming sessions in pinning our thoughts together in how we both can collaborate in future"
Justice S C Dharamadhikari, said, "We fear law because there is a lack of understanding of the law because we don’t know the law. Will you expose yourself to something which is risky? The law comes into play only when you do something which is not fair to others. Hence, there is no need to fear the law"
