Life is a fun thing with its share of twists and turns. PrintWeek India asks members of the print fraternity, if given a chance to start with a clean slate what profession would they choose. Here are some of the most interesting answers that we have received.

Geeta Chauhan, general manager, Pentaforce Software Solutions has been in the industry for a long time and would still choose the print industry if she had to start over again though she'd alter some of her decisions.
Jaimone Kuruvilla of Mail Order Solutions has been associated with the print industry since 1994. He has always been captivated by theatre. And given an opportunity he would like to be a theatre artist.
M N Pandey, director, Avantika Printers is one of the stalwarts of digital print. But, had things panned out differently he would have been teaching Mathematics and Sanskrit to high school students, a job which he did before venturing in to print.

Naveen Menon, director, Narayana Printing & Packaging is a big cricket and F1 fan and if he had to choose something other than his family-run print firm he would have liked to be a sportsman.

If Sanjay Gada, director, Selection Scan De Print had the opportunity to start over he would have started a non-governmental organisation to propagate education among street children.
S Swarnangka, general manager, TechNova Imaging Systems has called his 15 years association with print a 'romance'. But had he not joined the print fraternity, the hardcore Apple fan said he would have loved to be a designer and capitalise on his creativity.
Vinod Kedia, managing director, Indoplast Industries followed his father into corrugated box manufacturing. Given a another run, he would have followed his life-long passion for electronics and technology.
Alok Munot, director, Prabhat Printworks believe that he is too young to even ponder upon a possibility of starting over because he has just embarked on his print journey, but if he absolutely had to, he would choose a profession that wouldn't confine him within four walls.
Amit Shah, managing director, Spectrum Scan loves nature and adore everything that is the creation of god. The man who has a farm near Valsad would have liked something to do with the agricultural sector as he believes it is the best way to stay in touch with nature.

Hrishikesh Kulkarni with Kodak India said that he is quite content being a part of the Indian print industry. He also spoke about his love for acting and said a job as a stage actor wouldn't be bad at all!
Jatinder Shroff, director, Nutech Packaging also has a print lineage and choosing print was a straightforward choice for him. One of his hobby is music and he loves drumming some mean rock music. Though it is no substitute for printing.
C S Shivkumar, director, Jwalamukhi Printers believes that whatever we take from nature, it’s our duty to give it back to nature and thus if he has the opportunity he would like to start a organic farm.
P S Sahasrabudhe, managing director, Balodyan Press laughs off the possibility of starting over as he has sent a lifetime learning the tricks and trades of printing. A mechanical engineer by qualification Sahasrabudhe would have done something within the scope of its education.
Rajan Patel, director, EuroRSCG has seen a lot of ups and downs during his time in the print industry. Given an option he would like to work in the technology development industry.
Ravi Patnaik, director, Dura Label often tired of seeing the same job, colour and specifications. Cars have always fascinated him, especially the luxury cars. He would like to own a dealership of one of the uber cool car companies.
V Krishnamoorthy, managing director, Repromen Offset would not give up printing for anything else in his life. Though if he had to pick another profession he would choose farming as it reminds him of his childhood. Plus it will take him away from the hustle bustle of Bengaluru city.
