Ramdas Bhatkal is the founder and managing director of Popular Prakashan.
Tushar Gandhi, the great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, regaled stories about his association and the family's legacy with print. He says, "If he hadn’t become a lawyer, if he hadn’t become a freedom fighter, Bapu would have ended up becoming India’s biggest publisher"

Print Fair begins - glimpses from day one
The five-day Print Fair, conceptualised to celebrate print in all its glory, was inaugurated on 6 November at the Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai.
The inaugural session showcased the many layers of print; with design experts Ashwini Deshpande and Alpana Parida presenting the role of design in the future of print. This was followed by the launch of PrintWeek India's Book Special by publishing veteran, Ramdas Bhatkal and a special guest, Tushar Gandhi
