October issue of PrintWeek, WhatPackaging? now out
The cover story of the October issue of PrintWeek focuses on the future of the book, where Himanshu Giri of Pratham Books details its two-year initiative with the CBSE to increase reading ability of the students with the help of StoryWeaver’s repository of over 38,000 books.
The issue also highlights the production details of all the 10 novels longlisted for the 2021 JCB Prize for Literature.
In features, PrintWeek reports how the GST rate on cartons, boxes, bags, packing containers of paper and other related items have been revised from 12% to 18%. While the printers say the move will remove the confusion caused by different rates but will impact the print business, the paper association says, it’s a blow to the government’s policy on single-use plastic.
In Economy section, three manufacturers explain why they are hopeful of the future.
The October issue of PrintWeek comes with a supplementary edition WhatPackaging?.
