​Treofan inspires confidence in global and FMCG players with display of its products for packaging at Interpack 2014
One of the leading global provider of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films, Treofan showcased the three segments of packaging it caters to – labels, tobacco and electronics industries.

Treofan has participated in almost all the shows held till now and through the show it aims to provide major brands a global. “Continuous, intense dialogue with our customers and partners is a key element of Treofan’s strategy,” said Peter Vanacker, CEO of Treofan.
The company manufactures films for packaging, wrap-around labels, in-mould labels, and self-adhesive labels. “We have built a long-term relationship and contracts with global and regional FMCG players like Nestle, Kellogg’s, Pepsico, Danone, Mondalez among others,” said Vanacker. “We drive customer preference through superior innovation capabilities with quality products and intelligent supply chain solutions.” He gives examples. “Look at all the tea. The lot sizes get smaller for the industry. They need materials that are capable of supporting these smaller runs. This is something we are capable of handling.”
Theofan has four plants – one in Germany, two in Italy and one in Mexico. These plants can produce 7.5-billion sq/metres per year on its 13 production lines, which sells in 90 countries worldwide. A new plant, next to the plant in Germany, is being set up, which will up its production by 1-billion sq/metres. The plant will be operation by mid-2015. “The plant is built to support the next 15 years of innovative Treofan products,” said Vanacker.
At present, Treofan does not have a presence in India, but is excited about the potentials of the label and packaging in India. “We are looking for a suitable partner, and we are keen to start a partnership so that we can cater to the Indian market,” concluded Vanacker.
