The first of the series will be hosted in Ahmedabad on 22 January.
The presentations during the session will give the attendees a glimpse of the current status and the opportunities with digital printing in the industry.
According to Noel D'Cunha, managing editor, PrintWeek India, eight years down the line after digital printing's debut in the commercial printing space, an Indian offset printer continues to have the digital dilemna. "Drupa 2008 got the moniker of ‘Digital Drupa’, rightly so, as it marked the debut for digital printing into the mainstream commercial printing space. Though this is true in a larger sense, an Indian offset printer still finds this question a tricky one: To go digital or not to go digital? With the roundtable sessions, the idea is to find the why; explore what is on their mind; and bust the myths (and prejudice) surrounding this vexed subject of digital printing"
Moderated by D'Cunha, the roundtable will include CEOs of offset print firms who are yet to invest in a digital printing machine. Joining them will be two digital players with offset background.
The Roundtable is a printing industry social group that has been meeting in
different cities around India. The meetings are closed door and guests can attend on an invitation from PWI team.
