One-day workshop organised at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar

Department of Printing Technology of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, recently organised a one-day workshop on emerging trends in digital printing.

Kamal Mohan Chopra, general secretary, North India Printers Association, Ludhiana and proffessor Dr Rajendrakumar Anayath, deputy director, Technological Institute of Textile and Sciences, Bhiwani were the key speakers.

Chopra delivered his paper and presentation on 3D printing technology for a students present. Prof Anayath, who is an eminent personality in this field, also delivered the keynote address which followed a specialised presentation on repurposed materials. Tarun Sharma from Kodak Digital also delivered technical talks related to the workshop topic. This workshop was organised under the financial assistance from TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement program) of the World Bank project.

Anjan Kumar Baral, chairperson of the department and coordinator of the workshop informed that around 600 participants attended the workshop. Chopra also confirmed that taking the success of the workshop into account, several such conferences will be organised in the future for the overall benefit of the students and for upgrading their technical expertise in this field.
