Esko extends software support to SIES

Esko Graphics has renewed its software contract with SIES Graduate School of Technology, Navi Mumbai plus two additional softwares for the year 2018.

Prasad Balan Iyer, HOD of the Printing and Packaging department, SIES GST in Nerul, said, “With Esko software, our students are now up-to-date with the latest designing software used in the printing & packaging industry.”

The existing software services which are extended are ArtiosCAD Connect, 2D Drafting Solution, 3D Drafting Solution, and DesPack Advanced for Illustrator.

Iyer said “Previous experiences of using Esko software have been excellent. Along with the structural designing taught to the students, Esko's ArtiosCAD gives them a perfect understanding of designing CFB / folding carton and packages for those products, based on their size and orientation.“

Two new additional software provided by Esko are Studio Designer, Studio Visualiser. “Additional two software provide our BE Printing and Packaging program full capability to train students right from basic designing of products and packages to visualise them in 3D and also get an idea of how a package would appear on the shelf of a retail store,” added Iyer.

All the necessary training to the instructors will be provided by the Esko who will also conduct on-site or online training for the students.

“Esko software has been very beneficial for us. Companies like Tetra Pak, TCPL, Wadpack and many others have been recruiting our students for a design role, thanks to their exposure to Esko software,” concluded Iyer.
