The company recently declared that it has successfully achieved its financial year 2023-24 targets, with stable sales of around Euro 2.4-billion (compared to the previous year's Euro 2.435-billion) and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 7.2%.
Heidelberg also expects the industrial inkjet printing collaboration with Canon, announced during Drupa, to create new growth opportunities. The company also anticipates that sales and the EBITDA margin for the financial year 2024-25 will be on par with the previous year's levels.
Speaking to PrintWeek on the final day of Drupa 2024 (7 June), Samir Patkar, president of Heidelberg India, said, "Customers from India and around the world showed great interest in the Heidelberg machines displayed at the show. We received multiple orders from Indian customers, spanning from the Prinect workflow to pre-press, press, and post-press, with a balanced representation of commercial and packaging converters.”
Patkar added, “We effectively booked orders for various Heidelberg presses across all segments, including the XL 106, CX 104, XL 75, CX 75, and CX 92. The deals include several orders from our existing clientele, reflecting their confidence in our team.”
Further, Heidelberg has claimed that it booked many orders from the Drupa show, which will help recover incoming orders, which are expected to reach around Euro 650 million in the first quarter of 2024-25.
“Our Drupa team won over customers with a fabulous stand and future-proof innovations. The positive spirit among customers and staff alike was mind-blowing,” said a delighted Dr David Schmedding, head of sales and marketing at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG and board member for sales and service with effect from 1 July.
He added, “Heidelberg is a true partner of the printing and packaging industry. The large number of orders placed across all technologies during the trade show emphasizes our customers’ trust in the company as a leading system provider."
