Pamex 2024: TechNova and Esko to re-establish partnership
On Day Three of Pamex 2024, the two companies- Esko and TechNova, announced a partnership to provide a complete range of Esko solutions in pre-press and press production. While Esko provides an integrated platform and tools that allow its customers to digitise, connect, automate and accelerate the concept to market processes, TechNova has a customer base in press and make-ready solutions.

Esko had joined hands with TechNova in 2016-17, however, that partnership did not flourish in the way both the parties would have wanted. “The markets are changing, and so is the landscape of our customers. We now find that there are areas where we could rewrite the journey we began,” said Arnab Maiti, general manager - of South Asia and Southeast Asia for Esko.
Maiti added, “Esko has been in India for many years, and we have been growing steadily. But we understand that this market can grow faster; we can reach the market more than we are doing today.”
In the past few years, the footprint of digital equipment has been great. When people start the digital journey, not everyone realises that it's not only about the press but also the ability to feed the press. This is where automation, workflow and software come in.
Maiti gave an example of the label market in India. “It is fragmented. There are some big players and a lot of SME and MSME players which will sooner or later need some intervention with software or hardware, and that is where this partnership will be nurtured. TechNova’s customer service expertise and Esko’s software will plug in the gap and capitalise for both companies.”
Sheena Parekh, joint managing director at TechNova, said, "This partnership is to increase productivity of our customers. When you make your process efficient, you increase the number of boxes per minute, this saves time. You bring in hybrid technology and start catering to multiple markets. From a business point of view, you will get a competitive advantage. One is lower cost, which also means automation. The modular features like upselling or what the software adds in terms of features. With this multidimensional outlook, we have entered this partnership.”
