[Pamex] Kodak to display its range of commercial, digital, packaging and publishing solutions
“Today, the industry has started accepting digital technology as a complimentary solution to conventional printing. There is acceptance of digitally printed books by the publishers both in terms of the quality and the cost," said Ramanai Viswanathan, vice president for sales, digital printing solutions, commercial imaging at Kodak India.

The manufacturing giant will be present at Pamex 2013 with its entire range of commercial, digital, packaging and publishing solutions. “With print brands wanting shorter runs and enhancements, printers are investing in better kits and finishing options,” continued Ramani.
According to him, multi channel communication, which is the need of the hour, requires adequate investment work-flow solutions by the printers. “A platform to enable the printer to generate content across the various media output options is essential today,” he said.
At the show, Kodak will display the Kodak Trendsetter Platesetter along with workflow solutions for commercial and packaging printers, which will include Kodak Prinergy Connect, Prinergy Powerpack and Insite Prepress Portal.
“With its large installed base of CtP systems across the region, Kodak is in a unique position to help its customers and prospects transition to
digital printing for commercial, book and packaging applications with its vast portfolio of presses, imprinting and hybrid solutions,” added Ramani.
Ramani believes that hybrid printing by the means of mounting ink-jet heads on the conventional web-presses is a trend being adopted by printers.
“We are looking forward to PAMEX 2013 to be a great show with large footfalls. The show is an opportunity to procure valuable feedback from our existing customers,” concluded Ramani.
