A first-time exhibitor at Pamex, Macart Equipment has annouced the launch of a range of inkjet printers for the packaging industry.
"Print houses in India, today, are updating their equipment to new digital technologies. Even further, within the digital technology, inkjet is gaining more popularity each day," said Atul Gandhi, director at Macart Equipment.
"Print firms now have to add new equipments, softwares and will also need to diversify into other printing areas to grow. Investment in technology is not optional."
With the inkjet printers in the packaging space, Gandhi looks forward to improve the way the technology is consumed. "Like the printers, equipment and raw material manufacturers also need to change some part of their production lines to accommodate this change."
According to Gandhi, technolgy drives the growth of all the industries, print being no exception. "The basic technology having remained same, there has been a continuous improvement in printing over the 100 years. Printing is much easier and less centralised, opening up space for more print service providers in the market."
Gandhi is very optimistic about the growth of print in India. "India is unique due to its population, culture, geography and economy situation and so the demand for printing is also unique. The country has a huge market for outdoor digital solvent printers and has one of the highest installation for inkjet ceramic printers and is here for more growth."
During its maiden stint at the show, Gandhi is expecting a good show and footfall at its stand.
