Creating a special edition pack for Taj Megh Malhar for Hindustan Unilever was a challenge in balancing the iconic look of the brand. The company had to ensure that the packaging resonated with customers without alienating them from the familiar brand identity. The design also ensured that it did not surpass nine print stations. The company converted the raw RGB images into the CMYK colour space.
The Lakmé sheets mask for HUL perfectly align with the essence of the brief. The minimum dot sizes required for creating shadows posed a hurdle, but the team worked with the printer to solve the problem. The bubble shadows also needed further refinement.
There were two sets of designs for Raaga Day and Night Cream for Raaga Cavinkare. The designs were created using a minimum colour palette. Spot colours were achieved at the press with guidance from the IMS technical team. IMS seamlessly integrated a captivating shimmer effect into the artwork, enhancing the design element.
For the Lakmé Celebration Week, the brands curated a collection of exclusive products, adorned with customised packaging that encapsulates the distinctive style and flair of the respective designer. The challenge was to master the art of capturing the individual essences of seven fashion designers within a limited timeframe while maintaining brand harmony and guidelines.
