In-Store Asia 2018 sees 50% increase in visitor footfall
The three-day In-Store Asia, the exhibition showcasing solutions in POP display, shopper marketing, retail technology and others, was held in Mumbai from 22 to 24 February 2018. Spread across 12,000 sq/m, over 150 exhibitors attended the event. The sidelines of the event also saw the two-day convention, VM&RD Retail Design Awards and VM Challenge.

According to the organisers, the year’s edition of the show had 50% new exhibitors with 35% increase in exhibition space. Besides the leaders in Indian retail industry, the exhibition also saw participation from countries like China, USA, Italy and Taiwan.
At 7,500, organisers said this year’s visitor footfall also saw a 50% rise. Again, the award show, VM&RD Retail Design Awards 2018, witnessed a 30% rise in the number of entries accounting to a total of 370 entries.
In-Store Asia hosted the tenth-edition of the VM&RD Retail Design Awards comprising of 12 store design and 10 special categories and gave away 65 awards.
The two-day convention had an attendance of over 240 professionals from the brand and retail market. The conference covered topics such as digital enabled retail environments, retail design, visual merchandising, design innovations, retail research, shopper marketing and retail and many more. Over 20 industry professionals from India and overseas shared their insights during the conference.
In-Store Asia also organised a competition, VM Challenge, where people from visual merchandise market had to create an innovative window display within 60 minutes. The competition had 42 participants from over 15 companies.
Ace's corrugated solutions
Mumbai-based Ace Enterprises, an emerging player in corrugated POS solutions, showcased a range of corrugated applications at In-Store Asia 2018. It also exhibited applications in home furniture such as chairs and tables created from corrugated boards.

Pragati Offset displayed its patented POS solutions under ‘Lama’ technology which can be easily folded and ported wherever required, occupying less storage space.
3M, Classic Display Systems, Vijas Digital, Spectrum Scan were some of the other prominent exhibitors at the show.
