G&K-Vijuk and GUK head discusses plans for India

Friedrich Faulhaber, president and managing director of G&K-Vijuk International and GUK-Falzmaschinen visited PrintWeek India’s office in Mumbai as a part of his trip to meet the Indian customers along with P Sajith of Welbound Worldwide, the Indian representative of G&K-Vijuk. Faulhaber was attending the pharma show in Mumbai and was impressed with the business enquiries for their products.

During his visit, he discussed topics like intense competition in the outsert market, association of the pharmaceutical companies, rules and regulation in the US and European countries, his manufacturing capabilities and market they cater to, growth of both the companies in Europe demonstration centre at Thiruvananthapuram, training facility for the students and plans regarding Indian operations. 

Faulhaber discussed the impact of the GUK-Falzmaschinen of Wellendingen purchase of Vijuk Equipment. He said, "Vijuk Equipment is a world leader in providing innovative solutions in insert/outsert leaflet folding equipment for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and small-items packaging markets and a prominent source of finishing equipment for the graphic arts and packaging industries." He said, "Vijuk was purchased by GUK-Falzmaschinen of Wellendingen, Germany, effective 1 April, 2012."

Since then, the company has been named G&K-Vijuk International.

GUK, founded in 1948, has over 200 employees and is well-known internationally for its production of automotive parts and its comprehensive line of folding systems—ranging from miniature-leaflet to commercial-size folding, sheetfed and roll-fed folders, packaging-line leaflet folders and feeders, spine-glued booklet makers, and direct-mail producing systems.
