When WhatPackaging? spoke to industry players who have planned their visit to PackPlus about what they expect from the show, following themes emerged.

One, the machine manufacturers, converters and material suppliers alike are more and more interested in meeting packaging experts from top MNCs like P&G and Unilever. “These experts can guide us about the future needs and technology investment,” said one of the converters who plans to visit the show on all the four days.

On 4 August, the organisers have partnered with ink major Siegwerk to host an International Packaging Conclave alongside the show, which will be attended by 150+ brand owners and converters.

Two, the focus on automation technologies. Many visitors to the show will be looking at companies like Ishida India, Hilda Automation, AV Automation etc and what new they have to offer.

Three, firms looking for greener pastures in packaging will explore the rigid box, paper cup, and non-woven and paper bag equipment at the show.

One of the top companies to look out for at PackPlus is Pelican Rotoflex, which will showcase rotogravure printing press with electronic and with mechanical line shaft technology, lamination machines, slitter-rewinders and stack-type flexo press.

And Uflex’s cylinder division, engineering division and holography division will make its mark at the show.
