950 delegates attend HP Dscoop in Seoul
The Digital Solutions Cooperative (Dscoop), an HP users group, hosted Dscoop Asia, which was held in Seoul, South Korea, from 14 to 16 May 2018. Titled ‘Unleashing Print’, the three-day event saw more than 950 print industry stakeholders participating in the event.

The participants included a mix of marketers, digital innovators, creative leads and print specialists from across Europe, Asia Pacific and Japan attend the event.
The Dscoop event offers education and networking opportunities for Indigo users, including business owners, sales teams, technical and operational experts, as well as label and packaging specialists. The event saw around 100 delegates from India attend the event.
The event saw Magnus Lindkvist, futurologist, trendspotter and author, deliver a speech titled, ‘Why the future begins’. Lindkvist said, “Be daring, be different, avoid trends, go where no one else has gone before and you will be able to achieve magic.”
Alon Bar-Shany, general manager, HP Indigo said, “We decided to host Dscoop in Korea as the growth of Korean economy since the crisis in the 1990s and its success story has been outstanding. And Dscoop as a platform will help its members to understand their business model and create a growth path.”
He added, “Instead of competing with digital, be strategic and create with it. Make sure you are reinventing the customer experience by leveraging new technology.”
The event also saw Jung Chi Seo, marcom group leader, Samsung, deliver a keynote address. He urged the attendees to find the perfect balance between innovation, digital, and creativity in order to succeed in today’s complex world
In addition, HP organised a customer site visit for its Dscoop members to Korean PSPs during the conference. The visitors got the opportunity to interact with the Korean owners and managers of these companies and understand their success stories plus innovative business models.
On the sidelines of the Dscoop, HP announced the winners of the eleventh HP Digital Print Excellence Awards 2018, which recognises accomplishments and innovations by print service providers (PSPs) across Asia Pacific and Japan.
