Aakruti Digipress installs first HP Indigo 5600 in Vijayawada

Vijayawada based Aakruti Digipress, has installed its second HP Indigo digital offset press and the first Indigo 5600 in Vijayawada in its new facility named Aakruti Printex India. The press was inaugurated by leading Telugu actress Richa Gangopadhyay in the presence of the directors of Aakruti – R Kiran, P Madhusudhan Reddy and P Sambasivarao.

Aakruti is a name to reckon with in the photo-printing industry in India. Recently, the company won the 6th HP Digital Print Excellence Award for 2013 (Asia Pacific/Japan).

Aakruti purchased its first HP Indigo digital press in 2012. With its most recent acquisition, the HP Indigo 5600 Digital Press, Aakruti are further expanding their portfolio to commercial printing and photo speciality products like plastic cards.

Celebrating the launch, VSN Murthy, managing director, Aakruti Digipress, commented, “Our perception towards the photo business changed when we installed the HP Indigo 5500 digital offset press. Speaking at the launch, A Appadurai, country manager, HP Indigo and IHPS India and Sri Lanka, HP said, “We are proud to announce the installation of our latest press, which is considered a digital printing powerhouse. As the Indian photo market continues to evolve, professional photo labs are searching for solutions that produce high-quality photo prints with cost and environmental advantages and our HP Indigo digital presses are the perfect solution to address this market."

He added, "Up to seven on-press ink stations in the HP Indigo 5600 press enable the use of a wide digital colour gamut, providing unmatched quality for photos and speciality product.”
