Konica Minolta’s AccurioJet KM-1 was recently awarded the world’s first Fogra53 accreditation. The development also makes Konica Minolta the first global press manufacturer to receive the Fogra53 accreditation.

A top-of-the-line UV LED digital inkjet sheetfed printer, the AccurioJet KM-1 comes equipped with many advanced capabilities. Not only is it capable of moving short-run offset to digital inkjet, but can also carry out hybrid printing operations by seamlessly integrating with existing offset processes.

Capable of printing up to 3,000 single-sided B2 sheets per hour at up to 1,200 dpi, the AccurioJet KM-1 is also designed for duplex printing, as well as printing on packaging board, lightweight papers and textured stock.

Another major differentiator for the AccurioJet KM-1 is the Dot Freeze Technology, which addresses one of the most fundamental issues with inkjet printing — uncontrolled ink dot movement.

By self-freezing ink drops upon contact with the print material, DFT ensures superlative print quality and also overcomes the challenge of mottling of colours and printing on porous materials.
