Admissions open at Coimbatore’s Avinashilingam University
The department of printing technology in Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore has announced the opening of admission for its Bachelor of Engineering in printing technology.

“With the industry consistently growing, the need for more women to become part of it is imperative. It is in this regard, we have the specialty of being an all-women university, only one of its kind in India with several modern facilities, including a 100% placement record,” said Dr TKS Lakshmi Priya, head, department of printing, Avinashilingam University.
The department lists ITC, TNPL, The Hindu, Universal Print Systems, Sel Jegat, Autoprint, etc, as some of its regular campus recruiters for placement and internship.
“Apart from teaching them the nitty-gritty of printing technology, we also provide exposure to the students on topics such as 3D printing, augmented reality, printed electronics and other recent advancements in which our students also carry out excellent projects,” she added.
Importantly, the university also claims that admissions take place with zero donation or capitation fees.
“I think print fraternity should encourage women from their families to use this unique opportunity and enable them to join the industry which all of us love,” concluded Dr TKS Lakshmi Priya.
