Established in 2001, Advantage Offset is a proprietorship commercial printing facility. Ashwani Gulati, the proprietor, a first generation printer, said, “I wanted to replace my existing presses with a new press. The Komori machine suited my purpose, as it is economical, as well as compact in size.”

Advantage is equipped with in-house FFEI CTP and fires around 4,000 digital plates per month. It uses TechNova plates with a size of 19x26 inch on multicolour printing presses. However, the post-press is outsourced. “I have good post-press houses near our facility. So, I did not feel the need to invest in post-press equipment,” Gulati said.

On print business, he said, competition is stiff and survival is becoming difficult these days. “As I am in the business for more than three decades, I have no other options other than to upgrade my facility,” he added.

Greenfield expansion is the next phase of development that Advantage is planning. It will be somewhere in Noida. The commercial printing company employs around 50 people, who work round-the-clock in the 3,500 sq/ft shopfloor.
