Ahmedabad label printers in full attendance at LMAI meet
In order to create awareness about the fourth biennial conference of the Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI), titled Innovation Simplified, to be held at Jaypee Palace Hotel and Convention Centre, Agra, from 20 to 23 July 2017, the association hosted a meet in Ahmedabad on 18 March 2017.

During the meeting held in Ahmedabad, Kuldip Goel, managing director of Noida-based Any Graphics and the conference chairman, presented the highlights of the four-day conference. “The purpose of the conference is to discuss and put forth technologies and processes that can make a label converters’ life easier,” said Goel. He urged the equipment manufacturers and suppliers to showcase such innovations that are affordable to Indian users.
With over 23 supporters for the conference, Goel assured that the 2017 edition will be bigger and better than its previous editions. The 2015 conference was attended by 454 delegates, 16% more than its previous edition.
Speaking at the meet, Rajesh Nema, secretary, LMAI asserted the resolve of the LMAI to continuously deliver value to its members by organising technical workshops, seminars, conferences and networking events.
Pankaj Bhardwaj, commercial director, Avery Dennison expressed the need for curious and engaged audience. He encouraged the conference participants to challenge the presenters and ask questions.
Bharadwaj also highlighted Avery’s initiatives to address the issues of matrix waste disposal and operator training, while highlighting the “tremendous opportunity” for the label sector in India.
Among the participants of the meeting were representatives of Art O Print, Astron Packaging, Ankit Graphics, Nitai Press, Pinmark, Unick Fix-a-Form, Maharshi Labels, and National Process Labels among others.
