AIFMP to honour stalwarts of print industry

The All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) will honour the stalwarts who have contributed to the Indian print industry. The felicitation ceremony will be held at its diamond jubilee celebration event, which is slated to be held today, 5 July in Chennai.

The various categories include Lifetime Achievement award, Jewel of AIFMP, Ratna and Diamond awards among others. The event will also honour the stalwarts of the industry under categories such as Young Entrepreneur, NAEP Star award, Printing Industry Stalwart and Young Woman Entrepreneur title.

K S Venkataraman of Chennai-based Newman Press will be awarded with lifetime achievement award. Whereas, K L Shroff of Nutech Packaging will be awarded with AIFMP Ratna Award and Prof Rajendra Kumar Anayath, head of PMA India, will be awarded with AIFMP Samman Award.

Speaking about the award ceremony, Manoj Mehta, convenor of the diamond jubilee said, "We will be presenting many awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award to K S Venkataraman for his yeoman service in the area of finance and taxation for the benefit of the Indian print industry."

Narendra Parmar, editor of Printing Samachar was awarded with the Best Indian Regional Language Printing Journal Award and Amit Shah of Spectrum Scan with the Young Entrepreneur award.

Amit Shah, managing director of Spectrum Scan, said, “I am excited to know that AIFMP has decided to honour me with the award for my contribution to the printing industry. This award will be special as AIFMP is celebrating its diamond jubilee year.”

Narendra Parmar, whose magazine in Gujarati has disemminated information and technical information to printers said, "I am very happy and would like to dedicate my award to the print industry in Gujarat."

The AIFMP was registered in Madras in 1953 and since its inception it has worked for the betterment of the Indian printing industry and help it render better and more useful service to the masses. It is recognised by the Government of India as an organisation representing the printing industry on an all-India basis.

AIFMP are also the organisers of Pamex, one of the biggest print trade show in India. Pamex 2013 is scheduled to be held later this year on 14-17 November 2013 in Delhi.
